GENERAL COUNSELLING

I can help you to identify your strengths and learn skills to overcome current issues as well as provide you with tools to deal with further challenges as they arise. You’ll learn how to navigate your feelings, build better behaviors, and relate to your thoughts differently so you can live the life you want.

The type of therapy I offer involves changing the relationship you have with yourself by developing self-acceptance and self-compassion.

My goal is to help you build emotional resilience so you can eventually leave therapy and manage on your own. I strongly believe that through awareness comes the potential for growth, change and the chance to flourish.

COUNSELLING FOR YOUNG ADULTS

As well as working with adults, for several years I have provided individual therapy to young adults from my own clinic and in schools and colleges throughout Sussex. I currently work with 16 year olds and above.

Parents: Young adults and teenagers are under increasing pressure and often process their distress through unhealthy behaviours and choices. This often results in them becoming increasingly isolated and despondent. You may find it difficult to communicate effectively without feeling frustrated and rejected. I work collaboratively with young adults providing the understanding and guidance to overcome their fears and explore negative patterns of thoughts and behaviours creating a space to enable alternative choices. 

Young Adults: My aim is to understand what life feels like for you by listening empathetically and without judgement. This allows you to make sense of overwhelming issues and bring about any changes you’d like. By valuing you as an individual, I strike to achieve the balance between being respectful and challenging at the same time. I aim to understand your immediate problems while helping you to become more confident, connected and fulfilled as well as providing you with the tools necessary to lead a more enjoyable life.
